Author: John W. My lower engine mount was shot so I decided to upgrade to the BSH Street Lower Engine Mount. I am very happy with the upgrade.
I noticed my engine was moving a significant amount during shits and acceleration/deceleration (mind you, upper engine mount is brand new as well) and I could tell the engine was losing some of its power to movement of the mounts. Acceleration feels a bit stiffer and when I shift there is very little "bump" as the engine stays in its place.
With a stock engine mount, there is very little engine vibrations in the cabin of the car. With this mount, you notice it a lot more. When you are parked and the engine is idling you can feel your butt vibrating (it is also felt in the pedals when driving).
However, for the performance upgrade it provides, the vibrations on negligible. It's like getting stiffer suspension, you know the ride will be more rough but it is worth it for the added handling performance - It is the same with this mount.
