TSW Urethane Passenger side Upper Motor Mount (02-03) MINI Cooper and Cooper S. Replacement for the rubber OEM upper motor mount on the early MINI. The TSW motor mount is made of high grade urethane specifically made to replace it. We chose a durometer that will not cause vibration. Due to the lower profile of the OEM mount on the early MINI’s, this motor mount uses the existing stabilizer rather than a dog bone style rod end. All new installation hardware is included.
This unit was both track and street tested as are all of our products. Made in the USA this is simply the best motor mount available for your MINI.
When the original mount is bad they most commonly get shorter and put stress on the upper mount on the strut tower, and the lower engine mount. This stress can break these mounts. Also when these mounts are allowing the engine to move more this will cause additional clutch wear. The original 02-03 mounts are also hydraulic oil filled, even though most people don't think they are. So make sure yours isn't leaking either.
Note: If your MINI is at or over 75,000 miles or you have been running a bad OEM upper motor mount for a while it is also a good time to inspect and/or replace the lower motor mount. Chances are it is bad. A bad lower motor mount can cause NVH in the cabin, especially with a new upper motor mount. WMW has the lower motor mounts, so we can ship them along with the TSW early motor mount to save you time and money.
