Forge Aluminum Coolant tank R53

Do you have a leaking coolant tank? The coolant expansion tanks on the 2002-2006 MINI Cooper S, and 2005-2008 MINI Cooper S convertible are very common to leak. Or you may be looking to dress up your engine compartment? Well this Alloy coolant tank is your answer. We've seen a ton of the Cooper S coolant tanks explode or leak at the seams. This Alloy tank will replace the cheap plastic one, giving you the strength of aluminum to hold up to cooling system pressure. Or get it just to dress up your engine compartment. Bolts in stock mounting bracket with NO modification.

Tank comes as shown in picture as tank only.

Very nice piece. Not mentioned is that you will need to provide two bolts for the bottom mounts. The threads on the one I received were M6-1.00, and a 20mm length worked well. The bolts are installed from below, so a bit of blue loctite should keep them from backing out. Also, installation is much easier if you first remove the ignition coil. It's not mandatory, but taking the coil out gives more room to work and reduces the likelihood that you'll scratch your shiny new tank.
